We are currently looking for an Associate Legal Counsel who wants to join our team. You will help us in delivering, managing and supporting our legal work. Keep reading if it sounds interesting 🤓

What will you do?

As mentioned, you will be responsible for delivering, managing and supporting our legal work. We can divide your tasks in two different areas:

You will help us with Internal Affairs and Corporate Matters:

• Day-to-day advisory in both internal and external legal matters

• Providing legal reports and advisory related to Novicap’s business when needed, contributing to improvement of products and processes

• Reviewing corporate contracts not related to customers

• Drafting and reviewing intercompany agreements

• Manage general corporate (“societario”) obligations, coordinating with public officials such as notaries and public registers in both Spain and in the UK

Also, you will help us with Commercial matters:

• Reviewing and drafting B2B contracts for new business development, as well as contracts with partners

• Updating and maintaining product contracts and other commercial document templates

• Authorizing final form & signed commercial contracts

• Maintaining and improving our platform’s terms and conditions

Who will you be working with?

You will report directly to our Legal Counsel and work closely with other teams across Madrid and Barcelona. A young and dynamic team that’s waiting for you with arms open!

You are the right fit if you:

• Are based in Barcelona;

• Are graduated and qualified as Spanish lawyer;

• Have 4-5 of experience in corporate and commercial law in a law firm, or in a financial services, technology firm, or a bank;

• Have keen interest in fintech and work in an entrepreneurial team-based environment;

• Strong work ethic, with a passion for legal advice;

• An ability to build relationships across the organisation in order to understand business processes and identify related legal issues;

• Have a fluent level of English that allows you to work in the language. We are a multicultural team with presence in other countries!

Bonus point if you:

• Are double-qualified in English law

• Have experience in other laws, such as labor law or regulatory law.
